'One more round' is the latest track from Sunderland band Social Room. Having seen the group perform around the North-East; and being wowed by their big powerful sound; I had high expectations for this track.
Unfortunately however, the song was a little underwhelming and rather mediocre. Considering the band is made up of six members, I was expecting a much bigger and interesting sound than what was delivered. Although the song is not 'bad', it's just a bit dull.
The intro is orientated around delicate piano, and although more sounds are added, it doesn't really enhance the song in any way. The guitar is too reserved and the vocals aren't catchy or engaging - it's very much a filler track. The song could possibly survive in a decent length album or as part of a live set, but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice to release as a single.
